What is coffee charcoal?
Coffee charcoal is a plant-based activated charcoal made from coffee. Activation creates millions of microscopic pores that can bind substances. At the same time, it stands for the sustainable use of valuable raw materials. It is traditionally produced in a wood-fired drum roaster, which means that the raw material is processed particularly gently;
Coffee charcoal - physical binding in the digestive tract
Coffee charcoal is a plant-based activated charcoal, that is obtained from coffee and gently processed. Activation creates a highly porous structure with a large inner surface area. This property makes coffee charcoal a special functional raw material.
Traditionally, coffee charcoal is used to physically bind substances in the gastrointestinal tract. The binding takes place exclusively locally in the digestive system, without interfering with the metabolism or having a systemic effect. Bound substances are then excreted naturally.
Coffee charcoal does not provide any nutrients and does not replace a balanced diet. Due to its binding properties, it is recommended to keep a distance from meals, medication and food supplements. Its use is based on individual tolerance and has no medical or pharmacological purpose.
